Distant Seller Act

If you purchased goods or services online, by telephone, or through another distance-selling method, you may have a statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

In most cases, consumers have 14 days to cancel a distance contract without giving a reason. For goods, the cancellation period normally ends 14 days after the goods are received; for services, it normally ends 14 days after the contract is entered into.

Notice of cancellation should be given to the trader using the contact details they have provided. Certain goods and services are exempt from the right to cancel.
